![]() On last week's episode of Tell Me You Love (yeah, so we have a love-hate relationship with the show), Jamie, sitting in a sports bar with her friend, discusses guys and sports. In particular, sports guys and sports. "Look at them watching the game--it's completely different from how they look at women," Jamie says. "They're lucky," her friend replies. (Except when they're not: perhaps the depressed, teary sports fans of New Zealand are currently finding comfort in bed with their "promiscuous women.")
Later Jamie tells a guy that she gave up being a tomboy in high school
because she discovered sex and "sex is always better than sports." He
looks at her pityingly and says, "Not always." So, what in your life
draws your attention like the big-screen TV in a sports bar? Chocolate?
Shopping? Your Blackberry? Sunday night HBO? A good book? Updating your
blog? Writing free-form poetry? A full-body massage? And when--if
ever--are these things better than sex?
