![]() Before you get all huffy and ask us, "Do I look like the kind of woman who needs to pay for sex?" or perhaps, "Didn't you know that everyone pays for sex in their own way?" read this anonymous personal essay in the London Times. It's by a divorced mother of four who has, for the past three years, paid a man up to a thousand bucks a session for monthly, no-strings-attached sex dates. She always had great sex with her ex and came to count on it. But she doesn't want the will-I-come-or-not insecurity of a string of one-nights stands (not to mention the all-around messiness of casual sex). And she doesn't want the will-he-stick-around insecurity that a string of relationships could mean for her kids. In fact, she doesn't want a relationship at all.
She just wants to work, to be a good mom, and to know that once a
month she can get all dressed up, go out for an amazing meal with a
hot smart guy who makes her laugh, and then go back to a posh hotel
room for candle-lit, mind-blowing sex. Yeah, after three years
together, he still lights candles. Because she pays him to. Are we
crazy for finding her story kind of romantic, sweet, and uplifting?
Julia Roberts, you've got nothing on this happy ending.
