It's that time of year: love, sex and romance stories abound in the media. There are gift guides galore, love stories that make you go "aw", and tips on planning, indeed reinventing, The Date--and we're no better. But you know it's really bad when the NY Times, albeit in their blog section, publishes a "Test Your Passion" quiz! Of course, it's also that time of year to paint it black, poo poo passion and swear off romance--especially its bullshit corporate holiday--forever. The saying goes "It's better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all"--but when does love ever not involve loss, at least eventually? So in today's RoundUp, let's explore the dark side of the heart:

  • Relationship obituaries are more for the writer than the reader, but the video's got some fun moments (though isn't she setting herself up for a libel suit by encouraging the use of exes' full names?).
  • After a sever year hiatus, Breakup Girl returns in the nick of time this VD with all new weekly comic adventures.
