 Very rarely are other people's dreams interesting...except when they're about sex. This week, dream analyst Laurie Loewenberg tackles the case of the mysterious older woman who showed up in hetero Melissa's nocturnal visions. Could it be her subconscious is trying to tell her something about her life or did she just happen to catch an Inside Edition segment on Donatella Versace earlier that night? Seriously. I've always been too embarrassed to tell anyone about it because I'm not a lesbian (I know, I've tried). And she wasn't a girl I'd be attracted too, anyway--I like young girl-boys. I remember vividly her too-tan, leathery skin and what she was wearing: a sexy, low-backed halter-top dress, under which I could see her naked boobs and her emaciated ribs. I don't remember anything that happened, except her leaning over. She wasn't traditionally attractive, but she was still this sex goddess somehow. I've never understood it--maybe she's my vision of me in the future? Anyway, that's my dream. This is from years ago, before I was in the monogamous relationship I'm currently in. When deciphering a sex dream, it's always important to take a good look at your dream lover. When your lover is not an actual, real-life person, then they are very likely standing in for some part of your own personality or some issue in your life that your dreaming mind "personified" so that you can gain a better understanding of it. Since the orgasm was such an important element of your dream, it is very likely about you reaching a high level of satisfaction with some area of your life or even with some aspect of yourself. Let's see if we can figure that out... You describe your dream lover as "too tan." At the time of this dream, were you getting a lot of "exposure," in some way? Or had you gotten something "out in the open" and "off your chest"--her chest was an important part of this dream as well. Like her naked boobs, were you being very honest and letting it "all hang out?" It's also significant that she was very skinny. Noticeably skinny people in dreams are all about something diminishing in your life, something no longer "carrying much weight" with you. It sounds to me like, at the time of this dream, you were very honest with someone and this honesty must have lifted a weight off of you, lightened your emotional load...which allowed you to blow a load that night! Ha! Consider this orgasmic dream a pat on your back from your subconscious.
