As you may remember, Glamour took some of our advice in their recent Q&A on orgasms. This week, in honor of Orgasm Month, we'll give you ALL of it....because a dirty mind is a terrible thing to waste. Here's today's question (tune in tomorrow for the next): I can't have an orgasm during intercourse--just by manual or oral stimulation. How can I change that?... Who made intercourse the end-all-be-all of orgasmic sex? After all, most women's bodies respond better, in terms of orgasm, to manual or oral stimulation than to intercourse. But we guess there's no harm in trying: Make sure you get plenty of manual or oral stimulation before intercourse begins. You could even have one orgasm first that way, to warm up. Then start slowly and gradually. During intercourse, try to recreate some of the things that make you climax otherwise. For example, if clitoral attention is key for you, then make sure that attention continues during penetration with a finger (his or yours) or a small vibrator; if you usually squeeze your legs together, keep them close during intercourse rather than up and out; and instead of deep quick, thrusts, have him think "slow and shallow." But if it doesn't happen, don't beat yourself up--just lie back and enjoy the oral. See Glam's final answer here. |
