BY FILLING OUT THIS FORM NOW! Just when you think it couldn't get any worse, it does: A new proposed rule from the Dept. of Health and Human Services would, according to Planned Parenthood, "allow federal funding that is specifically designed to prevent unintended pregnancy and promote reproductive health to instead be used by facilities and providers that refuse to offer comprehensive birth control and reproductive health care services." Specifically, this means redefining hormonal birth control methods like the Pill as forms of abortion (!), allowing anti-choice medical professionals to deny women access to contraception. There's a great summary of the proposal at RH Reality Check. Whether you take the time to read about this outrageously shameful proposal, make sure you speak out against it now by filling out a quick Internet form--Planned Parenthood's homepage is dedicated to one right now (it's that important), and NARAL's got one too. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

Wow, redefining the Pill as abortion?! Since conservative pro-lifers consider abortion as killing something that's already a person, does that mean that I'm walking around with a couple hundred tiny little people inside my girl parts? Imagine the tax breaks I could be getting right now with that many exemptions!
In that case, call condoms abortions. And they better really crack down on prostitutes and those dirty old whores who like to both spit and swallow, because fellatio is murder.
Why the hell do millions of our citizens listen to the idiot who claims he wants lower gas prices, but hasn't tried to work with his oil conquering band of Texas Oil Kings (i.e his family) to get them to do something about it. How are you from a family who owns oil reserves, yet you can't do shit about the prices?
Seriously, lawmakers need to stay the hell out of people's bedrooms and spend time cleaning up New Orleans, and teaching children about safe sex, and not thinking its okay to thrust 16 year old teen mothers into the spotlight like its the cool new thing.
When Americans want to change things, they'll get up off their lazy asses and do something to stand for something.
My $.02.
*note* I was speaking in general, and not to anybody in specific.
