Once a decent parody of a scandal is made, chances are the scandal is over. And so it is with Paris Hilton's reply ad to John McCain's "Celeb" attack ad on Obama. You know, the one featuring Paris and Britney that questions Obama's readiness to lead because he's, um, so popular? As much as we can't stand Paris, we actually think her response is pretty damn funny (hot? eh. funny? def!). Still, though you might have moved on, we wanted to know if you thought McCain's original ad was purposely made, in part, to stir up racist anxieties about black men becoming sexually involved with white women by using phallic symbols juxtaposed with blonde sex symbols, as suggested by New York Times columnist Bob Herbert in his column last Sunday and again during his appearance on Morning Joe on Monday, and then reiterated by Keith Olbermann on Monday night?
